How to Make a Round Side Table

Free PDF Plans Available!

This side table is inspired by McGee & Co's Cora Side Table.  I was able to recreate the look of this high end table for a fraction of the price!

01

Dimension Your Boards

I used cherry wood that I had on hand, but if you buy the wood off the shelf, this process will be much simpler.  Follow the provided cut list in the plans to dimension all of the boards for the round end table.

02

Create the Circle Tabletop

Glue the tabletop boards together. Use Milescraft's CircleGuideKit and a router to cut a circle for the top.  The kit makes quick and easy work of cutting a perfect circle in wood!

03

Create the Faux Metal Rods

Use wood dowels and create a faux metal finish on them.  This will mimic the metal rods used in the inspiration piece at a fraction of the price!

04

Assemble the Round End Table

Use wood glue and pocket holes and assemble the table according to the plans.  Apply the stain and sealer of your choice!

05

Style It!

Now for the fun part! Style the round side table with your favorite candle, lamp, books, etc.
