Keep reading to find all the steps to complete the upholstery portion of the DIY sitting bench project as well as the building steps.

Step 1: Dimension the Lumber

You can purchase the lumber mentioned in the plans straight off the shelf.  Trim to size with a miter saw according to the plans.

Build the Base

Use the Milescraft PocketJig200 to drill all of the pocket holes.  Use Milescraft pocket screws and wood glue to assemble all of the pieces.

Build and Install the Sitting Bench Top

Follow the plans to make the cuts for the bench top.  Assemble with wood glue and pocket holes. Attach the bench top to the base from the underside.

Upholster the Sitting Bench

Cut upholstery foam and fabric to size.  Staple the fabric to the underside of the bench.
